Born in Los Angeles to a greeting card illustrator and mosaic artist mother, Linda got her first break at the age of four when her drawings were featured on a well-known syndicated children's television show, Romper Room.

Her family moved to Seattle when she was 13, and she began studying pottery a year later at a private studio in Edmonds, Washington.

She chose to learn woodworking in high school. She was the only girl in the class. By the time she graduated, she had made all the furniture for her first apartment. After high school she taught printmaking at Edmonds Community College while on an art scholarship from The Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation. She then went on to the University of Washington and got her BFA in painting.

While in school she worked at Standard Brands Paint Company and learned everything about home improvement, from installing ceramic tile to wallpapering to laying carpet. She discovered she had a knack for interior design when customers kept coming back and asking her opinion on colors and designs. She started her own design company in 1981 and applied her art knowledge to her interior design work.

She moved to New Mexico ten years later with her husband, Perry Taylor. She continues to do interior design and custom work for homes. Her specialty is mosaics and plaster wall effects.

In her spare time, she does art you can hang on your wall....
