Drub (top left) is a 30-year-old Kansas City skinhead artist who speaks for himself, and whose art speaks for him very clearly. Drub's work will be featured in the June 2004 Galeria ARTopia show, "5 x 5 = 25." His well-crafted website, drubskin.com, contains adventurous, even humorous, sexual, mature gay art dedicated to skins, punks, skaters and fantasy. There is also plenty to read, including a variety of assorted writings and Drub's ongoing blogger. Drub grew up in a working class neighborhood in Connecticut, he writes in his online bio, surrounded by "blue collar men, punks, skinheads, skaters, sweat, socks, boots," all of which eventually ended up in his drawings. We also learn from this website that he is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, bootsize 8, that he likes San Diego, Amsterdam, Seafood, Thai food, The Slackers, Rancid, Buzzcocks, The Cramps, Al Green, Social Distortion, and Joan Jett (among many bands), gardening, good movies, cooking, eating, kick ass industrial design, his Macintosh G4, his Vespa 50 S, gardening, traveling, Scotland, BBC, non-racist skins, punks, rockabillies, skaters and hairy chests, and that he has three tattoos. "I'm a SHARP skinhead and don't like racists", he adds. We're glad to have him. Top left: Artist Drub. Other drawings here include:
